Merry/"Mary" CHRISTmas!

Hope y'all are having a "Mary"/Merry CHRISTmas (not a Martha type) by focusing on CHRIST, rather than a plethora of activities! Mary sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. Remember what Jesus said to Martha,"You are worried and upset about many things, but only ONE thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." (Luke 10:38-42)

  2. I did have to do a self-check at the begining of the week. I was getting stressed out about all the things I wanted to do and still needed to do for Christmas. Then I just prayed and began to focus on
the reason for the season. We have a house guest from Japan... a college friend of our daughters. I am not sure where she stands in her faith but I pray that our family is a witness to her and that she will learn what Christmas is all about!!! Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

  3. There is a lot of suffering going on at this time of the year but remembering who Christ is and what He did for us makes the suffering more tolerable and we give thanks to Jesus for bringing us salvation. Thank you for sharing with us. Sherry

  7. Blessings Living for God...

as always... your living for God is exemplary in your message and your precious family... beautiful SMILEBOX presentation of your JOYS for CHRISTmas... did your daughter do this? It's quite good as a family letter to get to know you all. Beautiful "Mary" song chosen!

It's been a while since I've been around. I definitely had a Mary month of preparation, Christmas Eve and Day. No Martha here. Sitting at His feet and wishing you a PEACE filled Christ centered celebration!
That HIS PRESENCE is the best GIFT and you welcome Him in with a BLESSED NEW YEAR!

    Thanks for sharing!

    Peace and love in Christ,
    Peggy

  8. When I first read not the Martha type, I thought of Martha Stewart. That's not the best type either. The Mary type is definitely the best. I hope you had a beautiful Mary type Christmas.
