My Fave Five this week:
1. Seahawks won their first Super Bowl! We enjoyed watching it and eating all the yummy foods while watching it :). We're glad to see the players using their platform for the glory of God. Check out this video!
2. On Tuesday, the kids and I watched the #creationdebate between Bill Nye and Ken Ham. We think Ken Ham did a great job. The Gospel and God's truths were proclaimed. Very proud of Ken Ham. Still praying for Bill Nye. If you missed the debate, you can still watch it at http://debatelive.org/ .
3. I like this video: Why Shouldn't Christians Accept Millions of Years?
I don't know why it's so hard for people to believe that God took 6 days for creation. He could have easily done all in a blink of an eye if He wanted to. He is God!
4. This week, I took two online quizzes: What Career Should You Actually Have? and Spiritual Gifts Test. Very interesting!
5. Snow! We Oregonians finally got substantial snow. Our family had lots of fun sledding!
Interesting list of faves!! We had some snow here in eastern NY too but way too cold to go outdoors for activities. I missed the debate but I'm definitely a creationist. Although we don't KNOW for sure until God reveals it to us if He took a literal six days to make our world, His day may not be the same as ours.....at least that's what I've heard all my life, the time doesn't matter as those things don't get us intimacy with Christ. I'm more concerned about people not believing in a Living, Real God!
ReplyDeleteLove the Stanley quote. Before I even commented here, I had to take a break and post it as my fb status.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched a Superbowl in at least a decade. But we had a Superbowl party with office staff. We also had great food. The Seahawks did so well. It was a joy to watch their performance. And how awesome that they used their win as a platform to praise God.
I've taken online spiritual tests before. In fact I prefer them because then I don't have to add up the tally marks. :)
Have a great week.
We didn't watch the superbowl. It being a blow out it wasn't very interesting since it didn't matter which team won...to us anyway.
ReplyDeleteBut we did watch that awesome debate. I agree, Ken did a wonderful job defending the Bible. That is what it really was, an attach on the Word of God. Yes, we feel very sorry for Mr. Nye and we pray for his salvation.
We Missourians have had more than our fill of snow! LOL! So ready to see green again instead of white and brown...
Have a blessed week! So glad I stopped by today!
We caught the latter part of the debate - I need to look up the first part some time. Debates can be so frustrating because there is not time to bring out all the answers and comments you'd like, but I'm glad Ham got the Word of God out there.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to make sure to watch that debate when I have time. Sounds very interesting. We've had lots of snow and it's been bitter cold this week. I could use some nice warmth.
ReplyDeleteI'm the only one who's interested in the superbowl so as a result I never really watch it.
