Do You Realize How Much You Have in Christ?

- Paul's beautiful prayer continues in these 2 verses. What does a life worthy of the Lord pleasing to Him look like? Besides bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God, it includes being strengthened with God's unlimited power so that we may be joyfully patient and enduring/ persevering under all circumstances, and giving thanks to the Father Who has qualified us to share in His inheritance because we now belong to Christ's kingdom (the kingdom of light). God wants us to find strength in Him/to be filled with His strength/to be empowered by Him, realizing that the same glorious power that raised Christ from the dead is presently at work in our lives. God also wants us to be have a thankful heart, realizing how much we have in Christ.
- This passage made me think of the following 2 verses. "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)
"The Lord is my Strength and my Shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him. The Lord is the Strength of His people, a Fortress of salvation for His anointed one. Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; be their Shepherd and carry them forever." (Psalm 28:7-9)

  1. A great passage and very convicting upon my heart...The world has become so desensitized to the truth of Gods Word..we live in difficult days... so much of the world looks at those who attend church as a true believer /Christian but do not realize that fruit is the real example of a true Christian.. thanks for the boldness to share this on your blog.. I need to be reminded daily. Blessings!
