God's Plans

- What an encouraging promise of God this is! God knows the specific plans and purposes He has for each one of us. Since God is always good, faithful, wise, loving, and all-knowing, we can and should totally trust Him and His plans for our lives/our future. God only wants what's best for us. Our future is bright and full of hope because it is in God's hands. In His hands, we are safe and secure today, tomorrow, and for all eternity. We don't have to be afraid of or anxious about the future because we know the One who holds the future. We are guaranteed the hope of glory (Christ in us) and a glorious future in Heaven with Him.
- Trust God's heart even when you can't trace His hand. "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. The Lord works out everything to its proper end." (Proverbs 16:3-4a) Commit/surrender all your plans, desires, ambitions, and choices to the Lord. He will guide and direct us according to His plans and purposes for our lives as we seek Him with all our hearts, call on Him, trust and obey Him. When God says, "No" to our requests, it means that He has something better already planned for us. God's answers are always wiser than our prayers. Not my will, but Yours be done! "'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,' declares the Lord. 'As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.'" (Isaiah 55:8-9) "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." (Proverbs 19:21)
- Our life is about fulfilling the things that God has called us to do. God packs each of us with unique gifts, personalities, and interests on purpose for His purpose. Don't compare yourselves with others. God's plans for them are not for you and vice versa. Be whom God made you to be and do what God has called you to do! "For we are God's workmanship/handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)
