Friday's Fave Five #9

It's time for another Friday's Fave Five (hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story).

My fave five this week include:
1. Quiche. I have not tasted any quiche I didn't like yet.

2. Massages.  I love getting my shoulders and neck massaged by my husband or my daughter.  Quite relaxing!

3. Screen saver.  I enjoy looking at our random photos popping up on our computer screen.

4. I'm so happy for my youngest son; he won an honorable mention for the WaterBrook Multnomah's coloring contest.  His prize includes a free copy of This Little Prayer of Mine and Sir Kendrick and the Castle of Bel Lione by Chuck Black.  He was thrilled.

5. Playing games with my family.  Five of us take turns picking a game (boardgame or card game) to play in the evening after dinner and our family's Bible & prayer time.  Lots of fun and laughter, discussion and interaction, bonding and memory-making :)!  What is your family's favorite boardgame or card game?

  3. Awww... I LOVE that your family has Bible and prayer time! Ohhhhh the things I would do DIFFERENT if I could go back 33 years!

Congratulations to your little guy! How exciting to be a WINNER!

I've never met a quiche I didn't like either! And massage! Oh yea!

  4. Congrats to your son- How exciting for him!

I love game nights. We usually played simple card games with the young ones and when they grew up enough to spell we played Scrabble (still do).

  6. Me and the kids love board games. My hubby not so much. We love one called "Double Series". Our neice started a year long competition with it, guys against the girls. Every time family got together out came the boards, sometimes two or three of them, and we kept a running total of wins. The guys won at the end of the year, bummer. But it was a lot of fun!

When the kids were smaller we loved Guess Who and I've played Sorry/Trouble all my life.

  7. I love quiche lorraine, but I haven't tried any others yet.

My sons and I love board games -- my husband doesn't so much, though he'll play at times. I like Scrabble, the boys like Apples to Apples, Ticket to Ride, and Settlers of Cataan.

    Congratulations to your son!

Our screen saver is like that with photos, too, and I love it.

  8. My random photos as a screen saver is one of my everyday favorites as well.

Sounds like evenings at your house will long be remembered with much happiness. Good for you to make those times filled with family instead of the things that take us away from each other.

Personally, I like almost any game that someone will play with me... my grown kids like Settlers, Cranium, Scrabble, Crokinole and card games.

  9. What fun that you son won something -- that is SO neat for him!

Favorite board game? Mine would be Scrabble, but the boys complain about playing with the English teacher. Some of our best memories are during no power times after hurricanes, when we were forced to play games, read, and talk!

    Happy weekend!
