Book Review: Let the Journey Begin by Max Lucado

Graduation is a time of huge milestone and major change. Graduates will be facing a world of opportunities, dreams, challenges, and decisions. They may also face doubts, fears, anxieties, hurts, questions, etc. They need God's wisdom and guidance to make wise choices and they need God's love and grace to carry them through ups and downs. This book will help them remember that they are not alone on this new journey of their lives. God has plans, purposes, and promises for them and His presence is with them. Max Lucado shares Biblical insights, encouragement from God's Word, and valuable advice to help graduates be ready for the adventure ahead. 

The book is divided into five main categories: God's Plan for the Journey of Life--A Road Map for Success, Stop, Look, and Listen--Good Habits for a Good Journey, A Fork in the Road--Deciding Which Way to Go, Dangers and Detours Ahead--Slow Down, Avoid Disaster, and Two Is Fine Company--A Friend for the Journey. At the end of the book, you will find some blank pages for writing a prayer for your life, writing your personal, professional, spiritual goals and steps you have taken to reach your goals, and writing down your favorite Scriptures or quotes and notes. This book consists of excerpts from Max Lucado's various books such as In the Grip of Grace, Max on Life, Outlive Your Life, The Great House of God, You'll Get Through This, When God Whispers Your Name, and more. It is written in a devotional style. Each reading is short and concise but meaningful and inspirational. Let the Journey Begin is an ideal gift book for graduates! I myself enjoyed reading it and I highly recommend it!
