"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to gasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17b-19
All aspects of our lives should be rooted and grounded in Christ's love...our marriage, our parenting, our friendship, our ministries, our service, our giving, our speech, our action, our blogging, etc. Remember: "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Love... what seems like something we can wrap our minds around really is almost incomprehensible. God's love is really amazing, and the fullness of it is so challenging to really comprehend. But, the truth is, God is love, so daily He shows us more and more how to live a life of love. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI am trying to help a family who has battled cancer twice now and they need prayer and help. Most people offer prayer but ignore 1 John 3:17. We are living in bad economic times but I thought if I could help them I would simply ask that people would just give the price of a cup of coffee and share the link with their friends. No one person can give to meet this need (except Oprah) but if people would just take the time to give a dollar and share the link with their circle of friends etc. we could help lift this burden. They have enough to deal with without all the finacial pressure. I will leave the link below.
