***Special thanks to Pam Mettler of Zondervan for sending me a review copy.***ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Andrew is the creator, writer, and illustrator of the Lost Sheep series. Way back in 1989 as a young Bible college student, Andrew was asked to give the dreaded “children’s talk” at a large church. Andrew possessed one talent: he could draw sheep. He bought some overhead projector sheets and drew up the story of Cecil and the Lost Sheep. T he congregation loved it, so Andrew continued to draw stories to use with kids and adults. Other students, pastors, and teachers started borrowing the stories.

MY THOUGHTS AND REVIEW:
This book is based on Mark 10:13-16. Jesus loves children and wants us all to have child-like faith. I personally don't like it when people try to draw Jesus because nobody knows what He really looked like. The illustrations in this book are lighthearted and funny. My boys laughed and laughed. The characters (except Jesus) are all dressed in modern outfits. The setting is also modern time. One of the disciples has a tattoo on his arm. One of the kids has a skateboard. At the end of the book, you will find "Cecil's Page" where there are questions to ask before the story, questions to ask after the story, and the Bible verses which the story is based on. This book tells a Bible story in a fun way that children will enjoy and remember.
