The fact that God demonstrates His love for us in that Christ died for us while we were still sinners is not only amazing but almost incomprehensible. God sent Jesus to die for us not because we were good enough but because He loved us so much. He loved us even before we turned to Him. God goes to extreme measures to reveal His love for us. While we were still living (but dead) in sin and rebellion, God of all creation stepped out of Heaven and gave His life for ours. Jesus took the punishment that we deserve so that we may gain forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life with Him. All we have to do is repent, trust in Jesus & His finished work at the cross, and follow Him in faith and obedience. Come and experience the greatest love anyone could ever know!
"When you love the unloving, you get a glimpse of what God does for you." ~ Max Lucado
From Genesis, God already had His rescue plan in mind. The pages of Scripture point to Jesus Christ, our Savior. We can be saved only by grace alone through faith in Christ alone. No human efforts or good deeds can save us. We cannot earn salvation; it is the gift of God!
When you feel unloved, try meditating on the above verses. Remember how God shows His great love for you and consider how generous He has been with you. I hope you will be able to "grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:18b). You're so very loved by GOD, the Creator of the universe....enough for Him to die for!
Are you grateful for the gift of salvation and is your life's goal to glorify God? If so, go and tell the Good News/the Gospel of grace to those who are lost. Guide them to the one and only Gate (Jesus Christ) through which they must enter in order to get to Heaven. "I am the Gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved." ~Jesus (John 10:9a)
Let's reflect upon John 3:16, the heart of the Gospel.
"For God... the greatest Lover
so loved... the greatest degree
the world... the greatest company
that He gave... the greatest act
His only begotten Son... the greatest gift
that whoever... the greatest opportunity
believes... the greatest simplicity
in Him... the greatest attraction
should not perish... the greatest promise
but... the greatest difference
have... the greatest certainty
everlasting life... the greatest possession"
