- Jeremiah was depressed but then he shifted his focus. Verse 21 says, "Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope." He remembered and turned his thoughts to the character and promises of God, instead of his problems. We will do well to learn from him :). These verses bring great hope, assurance, comfort, and encouragement to weary souls.
- Praise God for His unfailing, measureless, fresh-every-morning love and compassions (mercies)! Because of these, we are not consumed no matter what fiery trials we have to go through. God is faithful to be with us, to love us, to show us His grace, mercy, & compassion day in and day out.
- God has been faithful and will continue to be faithful. He always keeps His promises. I'd like to encourage you all to write down ways in which God
has been faithful in your life. It is very important to remember God's faithfulness...lest we forget. It encourages us, helps us keep on keeping on, reminds us that God cares about the details of our lives, strengthens our faith, and challenges us to cling to Him no matter what.
- Who doesn't like a fresh start :)? Don't allow yesterday's mistakes ruin today's joy! We live in the presence of a loving, forgiving, compassionate, merciful, faithful God! "Remind yourself every day you get up and everywhere you go, 'I am in the presence of God.'" (Alistair Begg) God meets our daily needs daily. We get to experience a fresh dose of God's love, grace, and mercy every brand new day. When you feel distressed or depressed and/or feel like giving up, please remember, recount, and rest in God's faithfulness. He never gives up on you! Live loved!
