These are rhetorical questions that God asked Job in order to show him God's infinite wisdom, power, and dominion over all creation. Everything in creation is perfectly placed, measured, predetermined, and governed by our perfect God and His will. God wanted Job to realize that if Job can trust God to govern the universe, he can trust God to take care of his life/his problems. If God is in total control of His creation, how could He not be aware of Job's suffering? It humbled Job and it should humble us, too. God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. We are not. He is infinite; we are finite. We must trust Him and rest in Him. Face the unknown future with faith, not fear. Like Job, we are unable to comprehend all God's works, much less the reasons behind His decisions. Trust His heart even when you don't understand His plan. Trust His will and His timing. Disappointment and discontent take place when we assume we know how life should be and what God should do, instead of trusting God Who knows what's best and obeying what He wants us to do. "Be thankful that God's answers are wiser than your prayers." (William Culbertson)
Prayer: Abba Father, my mind cannot fathom Your infinite wisdom, knowledge, and power but my heart finds peace & joy in trusting You and Your infinite wisdom, knowledge, and power. Thank You for loving me, watching over me, and taking care of all my needs! Please enable me to trust and obey You in all circumstances. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
