180 Film Turns Opinions Around Regarding Abortion
New award-winning documentary is changing minds and saving lives!
Dallas/Fort Worth, TX—What would you do if…? Thus begins the question being asked by author and film producer Ray Comfort in his new documentary,180. Titled to reflect the complete turnaround in the mindsets of all to whom the question is posed, the award-winning film shows eight pro-choice people (mostly college students) changing their stance to pro-life just moments after the question is asked in its entirety. It is Comfort’s hope that the documentary, releasing online September 26th, will go viral.
While skeptics of 180 (Living Waters Publications) say they can’t believe anyone would change his or her mind so quickly, Comfort accepts and even understands their disbelief, stating that he could hardly believe it himself when he first viewed the footage in the editing room. Initially, 180 was not the film he meant to produce. At the time, Comfort was taping interviews for a DVD to go along with a book on Hitler and the holocaust. In the course of the interviews, one question led to another, and the discussion led to abortion. Comfort explains, “It began with two male university students completely changing their minds about abortion when we asked them this one question. We realized it wouldn’t be convincing to have only males speaking on the subject, so we took to the streets, asking that one particular question, and found that six women changed their minds from pro-abortion to pro-life in a matter of seconds. It was amazing!”
Though it was not Comfort’s original intention to create a documentary specifically about the abortion issue, when he saw the direction the film was taking, he quickly recognized its potential to open the doors of discussion. “I have held up pro-life signs. I have printed pro-life literature and spoken against abortion in pulpits and in my books, but I have felt that all my efforts were almost futile—that is, up until now. In 180 we have a nation changer.”
A spokesperson for Living Waters, the production company behind the documentary, further explains the abrupt change this way: “There really isn’t that much to debunk because there is no argument against it. Its message is very powerful, eye-opening and watertight. It leaves no room for a comeback.”
Comfort adds, “Most of us know that we should be doing something to stop this horror, but the thought of protesting is a little unnerving, especially with the demonization of those who do so. But here is something each of us can easily do—we can give this DVD out. We can pass them out on the streets, leave copies on park benches or on seats in malls or give it to the checkout lady at the supermarket. This isn’t hard to do, and it will save lives—perhaps millions of lives.”
As to the rest of the question Comfort asks in 180? You’ll have to wait to watch the video to find out what it is. “For me to tell you what the question is,” he explains, “would be cheating you. You’ve got to see the facial expressions change. You’ve got to see the people, when they are asked that one question, change from one of a hard look in their facial expressions to one of a light going off, as they change their minds and realize how evil abortion is. Their thinking makes an abrupt 180 degree turn, all because of that one game-changing question.”
Although the film is just now being released to the public, an early edit of 180 was submitted for consideration and won a 2011 Telly Award.

Review and Giveaway: Unplanned DVD
Unplanned is a documentary that follows the life journey of Abby Johnson from her happy childhood in a Christian home, her wrong path in college that included two abortions, her desire to help women in crisis leading to a career choice disapproved by her parents and husband, her promotion to being the director of a local Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas, her "light-bulb moment" during an ultrasound-guided abortion procedure, to her becoming a major advocate for life and truly helping women in crisis. You will hear the interviews from Abby, her parents, several staff from the Coalition for Life, and more. The DVD (60 minutes long) captivated my attention the whole time. At one point, I was in tears. My family and I are passionately pro-life. I highly recommend this DVD. It beautifully depicts God's awesome power of transformation. He changes lives. He saves lives. Abby Johnson was blind but now she sees; she crossed over from death to life. Praise God that He is using Abby to be a voice for the voiceless and a defender for the defenseless! She knows what it's like to be on the other side of the fence and what really is going on inside Planned Parenthood. You wouldn't believe what Planned Parenthood did to her after she quit. Please pray that women with unplanned pregnancies will no longer be deceived by lies from Planned Parenthood and pro-choice supporters.

Friday's Fave Five #27
It's time for another Friday's Fave Five (hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story).
My Fave Five this week include...
1. I had a great time at the Women's Conference at my church last Saturday. The theme was "Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God" (Psalm 51:10). The speaker was Georgene Rice. She beautifully shared what a pure heart looks like according to God's Word.
2. I set up a page on Facebook called "Living for God". All brothers and sisters in Christ are invited to join. I would love to see all Christ's followers around the world live radically for Him! To know Him more and to make Him known! Let's help encourage one another to live purposefully for God...to live and love like Jesus! Once you join, please click the discussions tab to participate in our current discussion. Please feel free to invite your friends to join, too.
3. Last night, I attended the “Make A Difference Tour 2010” concert from my home (watching the live concert which was held in Texas on my computer). It was wonderful! This tour's goal is to make a difference for children by helping to raise up sponsors for 25,000 children through World Vision. Max Lucado set the goal in honor of his 25th year of publishing in 2010; he is donating 100% of author royalties from all Outlive Your Life products to benefit children and families through World Vision and other ministries of faith-based compassion. Max Lucado along with Michael W. Smith, Third Day, TobyMac, and Jason Gray are part of this tour. Visit here to see if the tour will be near where you live.
4. Session 1 of Beginnings DVD can be watched here for free. Eric Hovind presents a case to show that evolution has nothing to do with science. Both creation and evolution are religions.
5. My family and I are passionately pro-life. I love what Gianna Jessen shared in these 2 videos (Part I and Part II). Please take time to watch them. The message is so powerful and true!
Note: Please turn off my music playlist before starting the videos.

Murdering Rampage...What Are You Doing about It?
Murdering Rampage: A Teen Refuses to Stand by and Do Nothing
According to statistics, abortion (the killing of innocent, defenseless babies) mercilessly takes away the lives of 1.5 million babies each year; 4,000 babies every day; 1 baby every 20 seconds; approximately 40 million babies since 1973; and that's just here in America. While this murdering rampage is going on, many people are rallying for it to continue because they want to exercise their right to choose what is convenient to them and to get rid of an unwanted "obstacle" in their lives. Some people do not agree but yet do nothing to help stop this rampage. However, other people refuse to just stand by and do nothing. Alyssa, a 16 year old homeschooler in Oregon, is one such example. She has a strong conviction and passion for saving the innocent and defending the defenseless. Since she was 5 years old, she has been participating in Steps for Life, a two-mile walkathon which is an annual fund-raising event for Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRC). The Pregnancy Resource Centers of Greater Portland is a Christian organization that helps women and teens who face unplanned pregnancy. They help meet their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, enabling them to CHOOSE LIFE. They have six centers throughout the Portland area, and have served nearly 8,000 women and teens each year since 1984. They provide free services such as counseling, ultrasounds, adoption info., maternity & baby clothes, parenting classes, spiritual encouragement, etc.
On May 15th, many pro-life supporters are expected to take part in Steps for Life at Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Oregon. Alyssa urges us all to support this great cause, either by being a Steps for Life walker, making pledges/sponsoring a walker, or praying. She has a web page that you can visit if you would like to support PRC and be a part of this attempt to save as many babies' lives as possible.
"For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-16
"We cannot fight credibly against other social and moral evils, including poverty and violence, while we tolerate mass killings by abortion." (Mother Teresa) "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute." (Proverbs 31:8) Every year, my daughter, Alyssa, participates in Steps for Life. Please consider helping save the unborn by clicking here. Any amount helps! If you would like to help but do not want to use credit card, please email me your pledge and mailing address and PRC wil bill you later after the walkathon. My email address is serving_theKingofkings@yahoo.com . Thanks for doing all you can for these precious lives and God bless!
Note: I do realize that some women were forced/coerced/manipulated/misled to have an abortion. I am deeply sorry for their loss and what they've had to go through (sorrow, guilt, shame, regret, nightmare, etc.) I hope and pray that they all will find hope, healing, forgiveness, peace, and purpose in Christ and that they will have courage to stand up and be a voice for the voiceless before more women end up making the same mistake they made.
