Friday's Fave Five #42

It's time for another Friday's Fave Five (hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story).

My Fave Five this week:-
1. One of my favorite quotes is from Jonathan Edwards: ""Resolution One: I will live for God. Resolution Two: If no one else does, I still will." I think it's the perfect quote for my blog :).

2. My daughter, Alyssa, won a video contest about promoting the library's summer reading program. Her prize is $250. So proud of her :)!

3. Alyssa's short story, Desperate Duo, was published in The Kids' Ark (a chidren's Christian magazine). She got paid $100.

4. Root beer float with whipped cream on top. Yum :)!

5. I'm hosting a giveaway on my homeschool-related blog, "Fruitbearers".  You can win a copy of The Crossmaker, a unique DVD that explores the resurrection account through interactive art. Great for homeschoolers (you can teach Bible and art at the same time) and perfect for Easter celebration with your kids in a creative way!

Wow, way to go, Alyssa!

Love that quote.

Oh, I miss root beer floats! Stared having problems with dairy products several years ago. But I still love plain root beer!

Root Beer floats. Now that brings back some childhood memories. I'll have to add that to dessert this weekend!

Congratulations to both of your daughters on their accompllishments and money prizes! That Edwards quote is one I found many years ago and wrote in to the front page of my prayer journal. Root beer floats~~that makes me wish I still ate ice cream!

Your daughter must be an amazing young woman! those are very wonderful accomplishments, and I'm proud of her, too! (hooray for homeschooled kids!)

Thank you for that wonderful quote, and the link to your homeschool blog. I will definitely get the word out about your DVD giveaway. (I would enter, but I already have this one!)
