Friday's Fave Five #19

It's time for another Friday's Fave Five (hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story).

My fave five this week include:
1. Civil War Battle Reenactment at Willamette Mission State Park.  It was very interesting and loud :).  We also enjoyed walking through the Union Camp, the Confederate Camp, and the Civilian Camp, learning about the medical/hospital history, listening to the period music demonstration, and asking questions :).

2. Fireworks.  We had fun doing fireworks (the kids' reactions were priceless :)) and watching spectacular firework shows from our front yard.

3. Korean Night at George Fox University.  The Korean exchange students (from a Christian college in South Korea) put together a Korean Night for the host families (we hosted a Korean student for a weekend). We enjoyed Korean food and were thrilled to hear "Lord, I Lift Your Name on High" sung in Korean.

4. Playing tennis. We had lots of fun.  Eric and I had not played tennis for 20 some years. Isaiah (8) picked it up so fast.

5. Free download of Bible Songs for Kids and Inspirational Christian Music by Greg Howlett.

How fun to go to the reenactment. I love doing things like that. You learn so much more that way than simply reading a book. I haven’t played tennis in forever. My husband wants to start playing again but I need a new racket first! Have a great weekend!

The Korean night sounds so rich. Glad God is present among all of us.

All of yours sound wonderful but
#3 is my favourite! I love to hear worship in other languages, all serving one God...awesome!
Enjoy your summer,
Joanne

What an interesting adventure to go to a reenactment. Well you have given me enough clues to know you must hail from Oregon. We boys have some friends who went to George Fox...
How wonderful to hear that great song in Korean!
Have a great weekend.

I would love to see that reenactment. I looked at the post above and you took great pics of it.

Your Korean night sounds like lots of fun. I don't think I have ever eaten Korean food.
