You Raise Me Up

Note: Please turn off my music playlist at the bottom of this page before starting the video.

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary,
When troubles come and my heart burdened be.
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until You come and sit awhile with me.

CHORUS:
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on Your shoulders
You raise me up.. to more than I can be.

REPEAT CHORUS
There is no life - no life without its hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly
But when You come and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes I think I glimpse eternity

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
And I am strong when I am on Your shoulders
You raise me up .. to more than I can be
You raise me up .. to more than I can be

"Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God, You who have done great things.  Who, O God, is like You?  Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth You will again bring me up.  You will increase my honor and comfort me once again." Psalm 71:19-21

"I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." Psalm 40:1-2

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." (Colossians 3:15-17)  In these three consecutive verses, Paul mentions about being thankful/giving thanks 3 times.  Do you think it's important to have an attitude of gratitude?  How often do you give thanks to God?  Do you have a thankful heart?  Let us all remember to thank God in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18).  Thank Him for Who He is (His character/attributes), not just for what He does for us or gives us.

Your first video puts things in the right perspective doesn't it?
Sometimes our own troubles seem unsurmountable, but when we let our self-perimeter expand, we see others in true need, not only physically but in need for the only bread-of-life. Thank you.
