My Faith Has Found A Resting Place written by Lidie H. Edmunds, 19th century, Norwegian melody
"My heart is leaning on the Word--the written Word of God; salvation by my Savior's name--salvation thru His blood." (the third stanza of this hymn that was not sung in the video)
Jesus died to save me and you...to pay the penalty we cannot pay. That's enough! Theology is important. Sound doctrine is important. Apologetics is important. But Jesus Christ is the most important! May our daily lives testify of our childlike faith in Him!
"I know Whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day." 2 Timothy 1:12b

BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks for sharing this!!
Love that.... It's enough Jesus died and that He died for me!
He will never cast us out! Thankful for that too! =)
Have a blessed weekend!
Oh, I love so many of the praise and worship hymn songs and music - and love to discover new ones to me, which this one is. Thank you so much for sharing it on a delightful Spiritual Sunday. :)
One of my favorite scriptures.
I have never heard this song before, or if I have, it was a long time ago. Thanks for sharing! It really speaks the truth. It is ENOUGH that Jesus died, and that He died for me. Have a great week!
Amen to this song! I have not heard this before,I like it.
Blessings,
Ginger
the words are great.
I really like this song. We used to sing it in church a lot. We sang "I need no other evidence" instead of argument. It's a beautiful song either way. Thank you for sharing the video.
Blessings,
Charlotte
Greetings from Wordwise Hymns. It was Eliza Hewitt's great song that brought me here today--since I posted a blog on it myself. I fully agree with you. We need sound doctrine, but central to everything is Christ. And when we "rest" on the Word of God, we are also resting our faith in Him. God bless.
