There's a blessing/reward for those who love God and faithfully endure
trials/temptation/suffering to the end. They will receive the crown of
life. What a beautiful promise from the Lord!
- We're reminded of the Heavenly life to come. The hope of Heaven inspires us to persevere through hardship in this life.

This world is not our home. This life is temporary. Our eternal reward
is waiting for us. We're truly blessed for all eternity because we have
an intimate relationship with God and we will be with Him forever.

This verse in James made me think of 1 Peter 1:6-7, "In all this you
greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to
suffer grief in all kinds of trails. These have come so that the proven
genuineness of your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes
even though refined by fire--may result in praise, glory and honor when
Jesus Christ is revealed." and Revelation 2:10, "Do not be afraid of
what you are about to suffer...Be faithful, even to the point of death,
and I will give you the crown of life."
