The royal law is linked to James 2:5 ("Has not God chosen those who are
poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the
kingdom He promised those who love Him?") The royal law is for the heirs
of God's Kingdom. By showing partiality to the rich, they're not
fulfilling the royal law of loving their neighbor as themselves.

If we truly love others as ourselves...love them like Jesus...love them
with God's unconditional love, we won't show favoritism which is sin.

A person who follows all of God's law but fails to obey even one
command is guilty of breaking all the commands in the law. Transgression
of one is a breach of the whole. How grateful I am for God's grace!
Even if we have kept all the 10 commandments, who among us can say that
they have never failed or stumbled at the two greatest commandments
("Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind and with all your strength" and "Love your neighbor
as yourself")?
