We are precious to God and honored in His sight! We are precious to God the Father--as His children. We are precious to God the Son--as His bride. We are precious to God the Holy Spirit--as His temple. He deeply cares about us. God treats us with honor and esteem. God loves you and me with His unconditional, unchanging, unending love! There's no greater feeling that feeling loved by our Heavenly Daddy! His love is better than life (Psalm 63:3a) If only we could permanently ingrain our minds and hearts with how He loves us so, it would sustain us through every situation. We are children of God; He delights in us. We're fearfully and wonderfully made; God made us on purpose for His purpose. Knowing who we are in Christ should give us comfort, confidence, and courage.
"You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9) None of the titles and status come from our achievement. Our worth and value come solely from what Christ has done for us, not from anything we do. It's all undeserved grace! God chose you and me to be gems of His love and trophies of His grace, shining His light in this dark world.
In today's world with an abundance of social media, people give and receive opinions, comments, complaints, comparison, and criticism all the time. Don't let others' words discourage, disturb, demoralize, or define you. Don't try to compare yourself with others. Comparison brings about either arrogance or discontent. What matters most is what God says about you. Do you see yourself as God sees you? YOU are loved by God, chosen by God, treasured by God, royal, priestly, holy, honored, and precious in God's eyes!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am so glad and grateful that You have loved me with an everlasting, limitless love and have chosen me before the foundation of the world! Please remind me who I am in Christ whenever I feel disheartened or inadequate. Please help me to live loved and live to love well. In Jesus's Name, I pray. Amen.
