- Paul talks about spiritual warfare and assures us that God's mighty weapons (Eph. 6:13-18) are powerful and effective. These weapons can demolish (tear down completely) the proud human arguments against the knowledge of God and every wall (barrier) that satan builds to keep people from finding God. All theories that are hostile to the Word of God will come to nothing.
- It's a battle! Paul uses military terminology. Satan wants to occupy/control our thoughts. He loves to fill our thoughts with lies, fears, doubts, discontentment, envy, arrogance, self-reliance, and others that are against what God says. Therefore, we must vigilantly seize/capture our every thought and submit it to Christ's control. Surrender and obey!
