- Jesus wants us to welcome other believers because of Him, not because of prestige, wealth, appearances, etc. Doing so is regarded as done to Christ Himself.
- Avoid causing other believers (including children) to stumble. The awful judgment awaits those who would cause believers to stumble or turn away from their faith. False teachers, for example, will receive severe punishment.
