- Isaiah 11:10, "In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to Him, and His resting place will be glorious."--Here it also adds, "in Him the Gentiles will hope"! How thankful I am that salvation/redemption is not limited only to the Jews!
- The power of the Holy Spirit causes us to overflow with hope. Biblical hope is a confident anticipation in Jesus Christ, the Hope of glory. Our future in Him is secure. We know He will return. We know that we'll be with Him for eternity. "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." (Hebrews 6:19a)
- We, Christians, should be abounding in hope because our hope is in Jesus Christ, Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. As we trust in Him, God fills us with His indescribable joy and unexplainable peace.
- What do we do with this marvelous hope? We should be artisans of hope, radiating hope everywhere we go. Many people in this world struggle with hopelessness (just look at the suicide and attempted suicide statistics). May we be blessings that bring hope to others! Tell them about Jesus! "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." (1 Peter 3:15)
