Advent Day 9: God Is Love

- Love comes from God. He is the Source of true love, which is very different from the world's shallow and selfish view of love. God's love is unconditional, unending, selfless, and sacrificial.
- An evidence of being born-again Christians is love, which is a fruit of the Spirit. If we truly know God, we will love as He does.
- By His very nature, God is love! "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) Through His life and death, Jesus exemplified what it means to love. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to love.
- "This is My command: Love each other." ~Jesus (John 15:17) John took Jesus' command seriously (you can tell when you read 1 John :)) and we should, too!
- "We cannot choose whom we will love if we claim to be Christians." (Unknown) God wants us to love everyone, even our enemies....because He loves everyone.
