We need God’s wisdom (we mine God’s Word for wisdom and we pray for His
wisdom–James 1:5) and we need the Holy Spirit to give us understanding
and discernment.
- Wisdom is authenticated by how we live our lives/how we conduct ourselves. Even if our words are wise, a life not lived out accordingly will cause those words to be ignored or rejected.
-
Godly wisdom will be displayed in humility/meekness. We must be careful
not to let the pride (sin) creep in. When we think we are wise and
know-it-all and become arrogant & prideful, we are indeed fools and
lack Godly wisdom. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not
on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him/submit to
Him (this shows humility), and He will make your paths straight. Do not
be wise in your own eyes (do not become arrogant/prideful); fear the
Lord and shun evil." Proverbs 3:5-7
