God's Fullness in Christ

"For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him (Christ), and through Him (Christ) to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in Heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross." Colossians 1:19-20
- God's fullness is in Christ. Jesus is totally God with all God's powers and attributes. "In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Colossians 2:3) "Indeed, we have all received grace after grace from His fullness!" (John 1:16) "In the person, character and work of Christ--is included all that man can need and all that God can give!" (~Cornelius Tyree, "The Glorious Sufficiency of Christ" 1879)
- Christ's death (and His shed blood) on the cross provided a way for us to make peace with God and be reconciled to Him. "For He Himself (Christ) is our Peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in His flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to created in Himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit." (Ephesians 2:14-18) "Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ...Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him! For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!" (Romans 5:1, 9-10)
