"The Son is the Image of the invisible God, the Firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in Heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him." Colossians 1:15-16
- Jesus is God; He is the physical, visible image of God (Who is invisible). He reveals God in human form. He's fully God and fully man. "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth...No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, Who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known." (John 1:14, 18)
- Jesus is the firstborn over all creation. It doesn't mean that He was created. It means that He is Heir to the created universe. He has all the priority and authority of the Firstborn in God's kingdom. It shows the supremacy/preeminence and sovereignty of God's Son. Jesus Christ is Lord of all and Lord over all creation. "All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Me." ~Jesus (Matthew 28:18)
- All things (in Heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, all powers, authorities, thrones, and rulers in the unseen spiritual world) have been created by Him, through Him, and for Him. "Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made." (John 1:3) Although Jesus took upon Himself full humanity and lived as a man on earth, He never ceased to be the eternal God Who has always existed, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the Source of eternal life.
"In these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, and through Whom also He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word." (Hebrews 1:2-3a)
